Brock Lesnar is currently on his way to recovery and show be back competing in six months, said Comprido Medeiros, Lesnar's jiu jitsu coach.
"He is getting better and that is the most important thing," Medeiros told TMZ. "He will be fine and be fighting again within 6 months."
UFC President Dana White had recently spoken about adding an interim heavyweight title into the mix so that the heavyweight division would still be competing for a reason - for a belt - until Lesnar is healthy enough to defend his title. White said that he does not want to strip Lesnar of his belt, and was debating adding the interim belt dependent upon Lesnar's return date.
First, Lesnar was struck with a severe case of mononucleosis. After he had recovered from that injury, he suffered a hole and bacterial infection in his intestines.
Medeiros had a message to the 265 lbs. competition:
"I can just say that the heavyweights can stop laughing and get ready to start crying because the champion will be back soon."
